Spring Halibut and Salmon
Things are getting exciting around here as the anticipation of the Halibut and Salmon season are quickly catching up with us. The deckhands are in the back room putting new line on the polls and making sure everything is in good working order, the Coast Guard has completed all their inspections and signed off on the boats and we are ready to go.
I hope we have as good of a season with the Halibut as we have had the last 2 years where we limited all of our trips, [ 1 fish any size.] The first month of the Coho Salmon last year was 90% limits with a lot of throwbacks.
As for our bottom fishing trips, we have been limiting our boats on Rockfish and 50% of the lings are being caught.
I just talked to Jerald, the skipper of the Ocean Captain, and they just boated 4 nice Lings. The largest 25lbs. They have been fishing 2 hrs and have half of a limit of rockfish and Lings.
Be part of all the action! Give us a call and book your trip today while there are still spots available. 800-865-7441, or 541-265-7441

Is there any chance of a Halibut trip June 19th or will the quota be filled prior to that date?
Well Dave, Sorry about the late reply.
The only way to answer that question is to know how many Halibut is going to be landed by the 5th of June. The Oregon Fish and Wildlife will add up the poundage and give us the information about a week later. If we haven’t reached the quota we will be able to fish the 17th through the 19th, and the process will be repeated.
Give us a call after the 5th of June. 1-800-865-7441 or 1-541-265-7441
